Real Review: Issue 1
Editors: Jack Self & Shumi Bose
Real Review is the quarterly publication of the REAL Foundation in London. It aims to make architecture accessible, inclusive and enjoyable. Through engaging analysis, evaluation and enquiry, the Real Review pursues what it means to live today.
Edited by UK journalist and architectural critic Jack Self, the inaugural issue features contributions from some of the best writers and thinkers on architecture and the city today, including Sam Jacob, Edwin Heathcote, Oliver Wainright and Peggy Deamer, among many others.
As Self writes, “From housing crises to mass-surveillance, we bring you insightful, engaging reviews on architecture, exploring how design shapes society.”
A print magazine funded in an age of clickbait and digital media churn, the Real Review is a bold statement of belief in the value of considered architectural criticism and Uro are proud (if not a bit surprised) to be the only stockist currently carrying the Review in Australia.
