Parasitic Building Program

Canberra, Australia (Concept design)

The Parasitic Building Program in an ongoing pavilion-building project by Molonglo Group. It subverts the pavilion concept with a series of structures that hijack, insert, envelope, attach, intervene. The intention is to produce highly experimental buildings that act as a catalyst for new ideas and learning.

The Parasitic Building Program is nomadic, with pavilions to be built in many places around the world. Chilean art and architecture studio Pezo von Ellrichshausen has been commissioned to design the inaugural parasitic pavilion, the ‘PARA Building’, at our Dairy Road precinct in Canberra.
